Looking for a Job? Do you have a plan?

People are referred to me all of the time. Whether they are in my specialty I recruit for or not, it is important, to me to try and help them out as much as I can. As stated in an earlier posting, "Recruiters offer hope". The one main message I try to share and give is to let candidates know - they need a plan.

What kind of plan do I need, you may ask - well a job searching plan. A good example of this plan is here on about.com

The Power of Networking

Why don’t more people Network? It boggles my mind, especially in this type of economy - it is not who applies to the job first, BUT who you know and who knows who. Hi Bruce-
I'm well thank you. How have you been? Yes, I'm still at BMW. I was hired on a full time Recruiter after my stint as the account liasion for Dawson. I've been in the role almost 4 years now and still really enjoy it.

Bruce, Thanks for the tip below about joining the Group - Columbus Corporate Recruiters, I just requested access to this group. I am surprised that I haven't received any feedback per my question about French-Canadian speaking Customer service Reps in the Columbus area. Makes me nervous that I'll be asked to staff this specific group here in Ohio & I do not have any candidates.
Thanks Bruce-JD
