A Deloitte alum armed with a CPA and a MBA, Linda was the perfect pick to lead the San Francisco branch…

Did you hear the news - Linkedin and Twitter are forming a partnership. This takes the Premier Business networking site and connects it to the Premier Micro-blogging site - VERY COOL.
Due to the Partnership - you can now link your Linkedin Status to your Twitter account. This will allow you to get more exposure to your candidates and to the general public. In my experience, more people check their twitter account and stay on twitter longer then on linkedin. You also can connect your Twitter Upd…

For the second time in as many weeks, I've read that organizations have jobs going begging because they can't find "qualified" people to fill them. Most recent:
"Difficulties in Finding Qualified Workers" by Peter Cappelli of The Wharton School who notes two reasons for the mismatch:
Mismatch reason #1: tons of choice in this "buyer’s market."
Question: If an organization shops around to ensure a smart decision, does it mean a) there’s no urgency to f…

The key to the success of every organization is the performance of its employees. As a professional in a supervisory capacity, you serve an important role in the career and personal development of the staff under your direction.
The process of assessing performance should foster open communication and create an environment that enhances the development of skills and the performance of the individuals involved. Feedback is one of the most powerful tools for supporting and improving an individual’…

resume help deliver nothing more than a prettier format of what you have.
So here’s how the indus…

“Are You a Resilient Leader?”
A resilient leader is one who, by definition, bounces back from difficult experiences. In my role as an executive coach to corporate leaders, I often find myself discussing workplace resilience. More specifically, how effective leaders must plan for a healthy work environment by focusing on the positive aspects of their business and upcoming changes, while ensuring that others have mapped out a resilience plan of action as well. Three questions should be answered b…

What are your thoughts on this controversial topic?
Many people have fallen victim to the ever fragmenting employment industry. High job board costs force companies to explore alternative avenues for advertising available positions and the scattering of jobs force job seekers to post their resume to multiple employment sites. Millions of jobs are left unfilled, millions of job seekers are left out of work, and thousands of job boards are cashing-in on the failures of both.
Overhead and value p…
